Local production and a domestic service network reduce vehicle downtime compared with situations where spare parts have to be sourced from abroad.
Companies that track mileage and plan maintenance in advance, rather than responding to breakdowns after they occur, generally spend less on fleet maintenance over the entire service life. Preventing a malfunction is almost always cheaper than repairing it.
