Agriculture and Commercial Transport: Logistics for Uzbekistan’s Agribusiness
The agricultural sector is one of the largest consumers of commercial vehicles in Uzbekistan. From the field to the retail shelf or export terminal, agricultural products go through several stages of transportation, and each stage has different requirements for the vehicle.

The Scale of Agricultural Exports
From January to April 2026, Uzbekistan’s food exports amounted to $753 million, of which $463 million came from fruits and vegetables and $205.9 million from grain. Behind these figures are thousands of trips delivering products from farms to processing facilities, warehouses and border terminals.

Different Cargoes — Different Transport Requirements
Perishable products such as fruits, vegetables and dairy products require temperature control throughout the entire route, especially when transportation takes more than several hours. This is where insulated and refrigerated vans come into focus: insulated vans maintain temperature through thermal insulation on shorter routes, while refrigerated vans use active cooling for longer distances and deep-freezing applications.

Grain and bulk cargoes, by contrast, are more commonly transported by flatbed trucks and dump trucks, where payload capacity and body volume are the key parameters rather than temperature control.

Why This Matters for Farmers and Distributors
Losing part of a harvest due to unsuitable transport is a real financial risk, especially for perishable products with a short shelf life. Choosing the right body is not simply a matter of convenience — it is a direct way to protect the profitability of a shipment.

Growing Demand for Locally Produced Vehicles
With agricultural exports and domestic trade continuing to grow, demand for specialized transport for agribusiness is also increasing. Local truck production and service availability allow agricultural producers to renew their fleets without long waits for imported vehicles during the peak season.
