FAW is "the Chinese automaker with the world's largest single-brand heavy truck sales."

FAW is the first automobile manufacturer in China, the establishment of which marked the beginning of the development of the country's automobile industry. In 2019, 3.5 million vehicles were produced, operating income is $88.6 billion, and profit is $6.3 billion. In the same year, FAW is ranked 87th in the ranking of the 500 largest global companies.

The first FAW TRUCKS truck rolled off the assembly line in 1956. In its more than sixty years of history, FAW TRUCKS has built 8 automobile assembly plants, acquired 57 partners around the world, and launched sales in more than 80 countries and regions. To date, the brand value exceeds 10.8 billion US dollars. As a result, fruitful work over decades led the company to success: in 2001, RAM! won the title of "world leader in sales of commercial vehicles of a single brand." From 2017 to 2019, the company ranked first in China in single-brand heavy truck sales for three consecutive years, and ranked first in the world for two years.

The company now has a reputation as "the first in China and the world's leading enterprise" and holds the position of one of the world's best automotive companies.

1953
Start of construction of China's first FAW TRUCKS car-building plant.
1956
The first FAW TRUCKS vehicle rolled off the assembly line.
1957
China exported 3 FAW TRUCKS to Jordan for the first time.
1992
The first car building plant outside the country was built - car assembly was launched in Tanzania.
2003
The foundation stone for the new FAW TRUCKS commercial vehicle base was laid with a total investment of US$220 million.
2007
Launch of the FAW TRUCKS J6 heavy truck market, which received the first degree award for China's scientific and technological progress.
2014
The commissioning of the new FAW TRUCKS commercial vehicle base in Qingdao City, with a total investment of US$700 million, rolled off the assembly line of the JH6 series vehicle.
2017
With 700,000 JH6 series vehicles sold, FAW TRUCKS heavy trucks ranked first in domestic sales.
2018
Launch of the FAW TRUCKS J7. The 7 millionth truck rolled off the assembly line. Heavy trucks ranked first in terms of domestic sales and single-brand sales.
2019
1 million FAW TRUCKS J6 series officially sold.
